Iona Hansell Ornaments was established in 2026 by Iona Hansell, the daughter of luthier Roger Hansell.

 

Iona grew up surrounded by music and instruments - with many weekends spent across the table and chatting to players and makers from around the world. Being exposed to this at such a young age, Iona developed a great appreciation for the musical world and the intricate design of instruments, fittings and ornaments and the stunning sounds they create.

 

These designs were made by Roger Hansell and sold by him for many years. Iona is now very proud to now be able to continue to sell these designs and ornaments. These classic designs have been in demand for many years and are used on instruments in leading orchestras and ensembles worldwide. They are beautiful on violin, viola and cello pegs.
